Only 1 more week to go! We’ve all started dreaming of the places we’ll eat once this cleanse is over, but honestly, a lot of the places I would have wanted to eat at pre-cleanse do not sound as appealing anymore. It feels so much better to be eating real, whole foods, and I’d hate to go back to those awful “sugar hangovers” after overindulging on sweets (and let’s face it, once I get a little dessert, it’s all down hill from there…the sugar monster awakens and there’s no stopping his fury!!). Cleanse Day 7: Vegetable and Red Lentil Soup

Officially 1 week down! I have really enjoyed the recipes we’ve been able to try, but the hardest thing has been planning ahead. It’s worth it to eat clean, but it does take a lot more time to prepare meals. With the time we had in between services today, I threw nearly all the leftover vegetables we had in a crock pot with some vegetable broth and red lentils so we could come home to a nice warm pot of soup (recipe below).
